Siemens Center of Excellence is a state-of-the-art lab set up at the premise of the institute itself, that comprises typical equipment and software that drives modern manufacturing industry. MTC helps plan, install, commission and operate these Centers of Excellence to offer high-end skill training for the students and staff of the institution.

The objective of Siemens’ Center of Excellence is to build a self-sustainable, interactive, industry-relevant, and cyber-physical learning platform to bridge the Technical Skill Gap that exists between academia and industry today. With the Make in India initiative launched by the Government of India, many modern Industry 4.0 factories will come up and need a huge pool of engineers trained and made industry-ready in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.

 

Siemens’ Centers of Excellence achieve just that: engineers trained to match industry needs and employment-ready. MTC’s services also include helping the institution in the recruitment of trainers, then training the trainers and deploying them in the various labs of the Center of Excellence to conduct skill training.

Siemens‘ Centers of Excellence can be fine tuned to suit the requirements of specific industries such as Automobile, Aerospace, Defense, Energy, Shipbuilding, and General Industry. The Centers also come with MTC’s world-class Learning Management System with digital courseware for all the labs. Students are offered certification on completion of training at these Centers.

Centers of Excellence in Colleges offer more than just training and skill development. They offer internship opportunities, R&D for industry, as well as consultancy services.
